Admission Requirements

Candidates for admittance to the UW School of Veterinary Medicine should have completed as many as 60 semester credits of school course work and therefore are needed to accept Graduate Record Exam (GRE) Test. The 60 credits of necessary college degree work include 40-43 credits of needed course work plus no less than 17 credits of elective course work left towards the student’s discretion. The 17 elective credits permit the student to satisfy personal and academic objectives and goals (e.g., focus on the right course work of great interest, work toward a selected major, or broaden one’s education) while planning for admittance to veterinary school of medicine.
