BOZEMAN – Montana students are in possession of the chance to join the very first Montana-centered veterinary medicine program on offer in cooperation using the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington Condition College.

Students can use online through March. 2. Classes will start in August 2014.

Candidates is going to and affect the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine as Montana citizens, stated Rebecca Mattix, a Montana Condition College teaching professor and pre-veterinary agent who gained her Doctoral of Veterinary Medicine at WSU. An additional application will request detailed questions regarding going after admission with the Montana Cooperative Veterinary Medicine Program. The Montana Legislature and Gov. Steve Bullock approved the development of, and funding for, this program throughout the 2013 legislative session.

Ten Montanans is going to be selected for that new Montana Cooperative Veterinary Medicine Program, Mattix stated. She added the admissions committee - comprised of MSU and WSU faculty and reps in the Montana veterinary and animals industries – will identify students who've strong ties to Montana and wish to operate in food animal medicine and other parts of emphasis over the veterinary profession.

Acceptance towards the Montana Cooperative Veterinary Medicine Program provides students the initial chance to carry on the amount in Montana, while creating linkages using the Montana veterinary profession far sooner than what is done when they attend an out-of-condition school, Mattix stated.
