BACKGROUND:

The Connecticut Veterinary Medical Foundation may be the charitable and repair arm from the veterinary community of Connecticut. It supports education, scholarship and repair programs that improve animal health insurance and public health in Connecticut. The leadership of vets facilitates a scientific method of animal health insurance and welfare issues and is the reason why CVMF unique.

VISION STATEMENT:
To boost the and welfare of domestic creatures in Connecticut and to become a back-up for Connecticut's domestic creatures.

MISSION STATEMENT:
The CVMF VISION will be accomplished through three missions:

MISSIONS Broadened:

Disaster Readiness: With the provision of leadership and support towards the Connecticut Condition Animal Response Team (CTSART) program, CVMF, together with government, evolves, supervises and encourages animal disaster readiness and response activities throughout Connecticut. CVMF takes part in and sponsors emergency readiness/disaster recovery programs at veterinary conferences.

A Persons-Pet Bond: To advertise recognition of companion creatures, particularly individuals creatures which save lives, prevent injuries, or enrich a persons spirit through therapy or service programs. Your Pet Sympathy Card program produced with respect to the veterinary community encourages a persons-animal bond with animal proprietors. CVMF also seeks funding for necessary veterinary health care for service creatures.

The Profession of Veterinary Medicine: CVMF encourages the veterinary profession of medicine through support of educational institutions involved in biomedical research in addition to through educational outreach towards the public and also the profession. The CVMF pulicizes the profession's leadership activities.
