Best Veterinary Schools 2014

Find out how U.S. News ranks graduate health programs.

All of the health ratings are based exclusively around the outcomes of peer assessment surveys delivered to deans, other managers and/or faculty at accredited degree programs or schools in every discipline. All schools interviewed inside a discipline were sent exactly the same quantity of surveys.

Participants ranked the educational quality of programs on the scale of just one (marginal) to five (outstanding). These were expected to choose "have no ideaInch if they didn't have sufficient understanding to rate a course. Only fully accredited programs up to date throughout laptop computer period are rated. Individuals schools using the greatest average scores come in the ratings.

Surveys in five disciplines were carried out in fall 2014 for ratings calculated in 2015. Individuals interviewed were: schools of public health accredited through the Council on Education for Public Health (response rate: 59 percent) healthcare management programs accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Health care Management Education (57 percent) physician assistant programs accredited through the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for that Physician Assistant (50 %) rehab counselor teaching programs accredited through the Commission on Standards and Accreditation: Council on Rehab Education (38 percent) and veterinary schools accredited through the American Veterinary Medical Association (49 percent). Peer surveys were carried out through the researching the market firm Ipsos Public Matters.

In seven health disciplines, surveys were carried out in fall 2011 for ratings calculated this year. Individuals interviewed were: Physician of Pharmacy programs accredited through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (response rate: 39 percent) doctorate programs in clinical psychology accredited through the American Mental Association (25 %) graduate programs in work therapy accredited through the American Work Therapy Association (41 percent) audiology programs and speech-language pathology programs accredited through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (55 percent and 31 percent, correspondingly) physical rehabilitation programs accredited through the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Rehabilitation Education (40 %) and Master of Social Work programs accredited through the Commission on Accreditation from the Council on Social Work Education (53 %). Surveys were carried out by Ipsos Public Matters.

The amount of schools interviewed were: audiology, 78 clinical psychology, 215 healthcare management, 71 work therapy, 156 pharmacy, 125 physical rehabilitation, 201 physician assistant, 154 public health, 50 rehab counseling, 88 social work, 206 speech-language pathology, 250 and veterinary medicine, 28.
